Nathan Scoggins

Pastor

Nathan and Bertha Scoggins have served together in ministry since 1984. He currently serves as Pastor of Hope Center Church in San Antonio, Texas, as well as District Superintendent of the inaugural South Central Texas District of the United Pentecostal Church International.

Previously, he served as Youth Pastor for five years in Houston, Texas, then traveled and evangelized throughout the United States and overseas for eight years. He next served as the pastor of Cornerstone Church in Lufkin, Texas, for twelve years just prior to accepting their current position. During those twelve years, he also served in various capacities, such as an educator at Texas Bible College and Youth President and Youth Secretary for the Texas District.

Nathan is an avid learner, reader, and hunter. He enjoys quiet moments outdoors in the beautiful Texas Hill Country. He is passionate about leadership training and mentoring others as they grow in their own areas of ministry. Bertha is the perfect teammate. Her love and passion for the Lord and His people are undeniable. She is the epitome of a wonderful hostess; she gives love and grace to all she meets and is known for her infectious laughter and sense of humor.

Though they have traveled the world preaching and ministering in a wide variety of ministerial and leadership conferences, their most treasured time is with their daughter,Leah Marie, and her husband, Ethan Crossno.

The Scoggins have a true love for God and ministry in His Kingdom. They live that love out every day as they labor to fulfill their big God-given dreams for the Hope Center Church family in San Antonio and beyond.
